Easter is right around the corner. April is filled with Easter fun to keep the kids busy and to have tons of family fun. Most of the Easter fun is in Jefferson Parish or New Orleans, but we added a few that we thought were worth the drive!
Easter Egg Hunts in Jefferson Parish and New Orleans
NOMA Easter Egg Hunt and Family Festival : April 1st from 10 am – 1 pm in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Petting zoos, space walks, crafts, and more. Cost through March 31st – $10 for members and $12 for non-members. At the door – $15 for everyone. Children 2 and under are FREE.
Jefferson Parish Parent Egg Hunt : April 2nd from 10 am – 12 pm at the Woodlake Swim and Tennis Club. Easter bunny pictures, princesses, DJ, fun and more. Cost – $10 per person.
City Park Carousel Gardens Egg Scramble April 8th. Gates open at 9am and the egg scramble begins at 10 am. Easter bunny, amusement rides, face painting and more. Cost – $10 per person, under 12 months FREE.
Longue Vue House and Gardens Egg Hunt : April 8th. The morning hunt is from 9:30 – 10:30 am and the afternoon hunt is from 12:30-1:30 pm. Face painting, lawn games, plant sales and more. Cost – $8 for members and $10 for non-members.
Clearview Mall Easter Eggstravaganza : April 8th from 11 am – 1 pm. Riddle based scavenger hunt, games, and more.
Lakeview Easter Egg Hunt : April 9th at 12:15 pm at Lakeview Presbyterian Church. Egg hunt, Easter Bunny, treats and kids activities.
Restoration Church Easter Egg Hunt : April 15th at 11 am at Bonnabel Boat Launch.
Confetti Kids Easter Egg Hunt : April 15th at 3 pm at Compass Pointe in Algiers. Egg hunt, games and activities.
Breakfast and Brunch with the Easter Bunny In Southern Louisiana
City of Kenner Breakfast with the Bunny : April 15th from 8:45 – 11 am at Heritage Hall. Pancake and sausage breakfast, games, arts and crafts, bunny pictures and more.
Breakfast with the Bunny : April 15th at 10 am at St. Mathews Methodist Church. Breakfast, egg hunt and more.
Hoppin’ Down the River Easter Cruise : April 15th from 10 am – 12 pm and from 1:30 – 3:30 pm on board the Creole Queen. Buffet, Easter treats, face painting, story telling and more. Costs – $10 for kids 0-2, $39 for kids 3-12 and $59 for adults.
English Tea Room Easter Brunch : April 16th from 10 am – 4 pm. Special brunch menu, hot cross buns, fun for kids.
Historic French Quarter Easter Parade: April 16th. Starts at from Antoine’s Restaurant at 9:45 a.m. makes its leisurely, roundabout way through the French Quarter to St. Louis Cathedral for 11:00 a.m. Mass.
Chris Owens Easter Parade: April 16th. Starts at 1 pm at the corner of Canal and Bourbon streets and makes its way through the French Quarter.

Egg Storytime: March 18th at 11 am at Barnes and Noble Metairie and Westbank. Listen to Egg and stay for coloring and other activities.
Ceramic Workshop – Easter plate and bowl: March 27th from 6-9 pm at the Fassbender Center, Kenner. One day ceramic workshop for a parent/grandparent and child ages 5 and up . Cost – $10
Easter Sugar Egg Class : April 1st from 10 – 11:30 am in the Kenner Recreation Meeting Room. Parents and children ages 4 and up can make their own molded sugar egg scene. Cost – $20
Easter Storytime: April 1st from 10:30 – 11:30 am at the Harahan Library. Listen to Happy Easter Davy and make a paper plate chick.
The Letter L Storytime: April 5th from 9:30-10:30 am a the Westwego Library. Listen to The Runaway Bunny.
Teen Craft: April 5th from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Old Metairie Library for ages 10 and up. Make a jelly bean bracelet.
Read and Sing Easter: April 6th from 10:30 – 11 am at the West Bank Regional Library. Listen to Llama Llama Easter Egg.
Storytime with Craft: April 6th from 11-12 pm at the Wagner Library. Listen to Clifford the Big Red Dog: The Biggest Easter Egg and make plastic Easter egg critters.
Easter Piggy Storytime: April 6th from 4-4:30 pm at the Gretna Library. Listen to Piggy Bunny.
Easter Rice Krispy Cake Class : April 8th from 10 – 11: 30 am in the Kenner Recreation Meeting Room. Children ages 6-12 will make a rice krispy cake for Easter. Cost – $12
Saturday Craft: April 8th from 10:30-11:30 am at the West Bank Regional Library. Make a bunny ears hat.
Easter Storytime with Craft: April 11th from 10:30-11:30 am at the Old Metairie Library. Listen to We’re Going on an Egg Hunt and make Easter Bunny Ears.
Bunnies Storytime: April 11th from 10:30 – 11:30 at the Lakeshore Library. Listen to Piggy Bunny and make Easter egg animals.
Mornings With Mommy: April 11th at 11 am at Barnes and Noble Metairie. Listen to Bunny’s Book Club and make a craft.
Craft Night: April 11th from 6-7 pm at the West Bank Regional Library. Make a tissue paper Easter egg.
The Letter M Storytime: April 12th from 9:30-10:30 am at the Westwego Library. Listen to The Easter Egg.

Saturday Craft: April 15th at 12-1 pm at the Westwego Library. Make a paper plate Easter Basket.
